Azure logoThe Tidal Automation™ platform links, automates, and orchestrates business processes running not just in Microsoft Azure but across other public and private clouds, hybrid environments, on-prem, and SaaS applications. Tidal automates integrated workflows across all of these environments with a single-pane-of-glass view of all workload activities in addition to support of time- and event-based scheduling.

How is Tidal Automation different?

 The Challenge

A point scheduler often schedules jobs only within the boundaries of one application or a specific cloud environment, and executes properly only if all dependencies have been met. Jobs external to that application or cloud environment must be scheduled separately. This fragmented approach to job scheduling creates a risk associated with virtually every point of transition that occurs outside the boundaries of Azure. Interdependencies may be unseen, inaccurate data might be transmitted, and jobs may be stalled midstream. These breakdowns outside of Azure are typically not visible until processing is due to complete, so when an error occurs, you won’t know until it’s too late. This lack of visibility can derail SLAs, require extensive IT resources to remediate, and impact business outcomes.

The Tidal solution: end-to-end visibility

Tidal can automate complex cross-application workflows that run inside Azure and also run in other cloud/on-premise environments, providing a single-pane-of-glass view into the entire workflow. Tidal executes rigorously and reliably each and every time, supporting up to 1+ million jobs per day. What’s more, Tidal supports time-based, dependency-based, and event-based scheduling as well as batch scheduling, accurately and reliably automating the most complex cross-application workflows.

Tidal supports sophisticated calendaring functionality that easily accommodates complex instructions, conditional situations, and nested hierarchies. We can optimize infrastructure and staff resources further with customizable notifications and automated error recovery when task failures occur.
