We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our high-performing team, reporting to our VP of Tidal Support. Our mission is to enrich and expand our global leadership in automation. Duties and Responsibilities
The Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for selling new prospects as well as helping to expand product footprint into existing customers. Measures of success include new customer acquisition, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall sales team and business success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Support sales account managers with solution selling into prospect account base
- Partner with account managers to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
- Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
- Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
- Effectively communicate client needs to the support team for future product enhancements
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to prospect
- Ensure all issues are properly logged and documented with support
- Assist Support in Prioritize and manage open issues reported by prospect
- Maintain a positive relationship with our clients
- Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until there question is answered
- Possible travel
- Collect and document competitive intelligence
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
- Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
- Ability to establish strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills
- Willingness to travel
- BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base or 5 plus years of experience in the field
- Experience with automation
- Solid understanding of the technology industry with emphasis on enterprise software
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop relationships, and interact with all levels of management
- Resourcefulness, efficient, problem-solver, and a strong sense of ownership
- Strong Team Player, strong communication
- Channel and alliance experience
