Enterprise Scheduler Administrator Training Syllabus
This course focuses on the administration features and functionalities of Tidal
Enterprise Scheduler to provide a higher level of expertise. Students who need to go beyond the
scheduling courses to administer Scheduler make up the enrollment of this class.
Highlights
This two-day, interactive course requires the successful completion of the Enterprise Scheduler Advance
Course and it is recommended that it be taken immediately after the Advance course. This course teaches
students the architecture and basic installation of the components of Tidal Enterprise Scheduler
[formerly known as sys*ADMIRAL]. Students will be introduced to diagnostics logs, troubleshooting,
un-install processes and installing fault tolerance for the Enterprise Scheduler. Our expert product
instructors will guide the students through the learning process by lecture, real time examples, student
worked labs, and tests.

Fault Tolerance
- How to install and configure Fault Tolerance for Enterprise Scheduler
Throughout this two-day course the students computer skills will be put to the test.
Students will be installing agents on workstations. Those same workstations will be used to install and
configure fault tolerance for the Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. The Students administrator knowledge will
increase as you learn how the different modules fit together and interact. Their ability to troubleshoot
problems will increase greatly with new understanding of the different aspects of diagnostic logging available
in Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. The student will leave this two-day course ready to return and begin
administration of the Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. A student successfully completing this course will be
awarded a certificate of completion.
Training Site Requirements
- Enterprise Scheduler 2.04.65 master/agent/client or greater installed and configured on each student system.
- One NT4.0/W2K/XP workstation per student; if the class is taught at your
site, we like to have a minimum of three students, maximum of eight. If it’s held at Tidal Software
Corporate Headquarters, there is no minimum, maximum of eight.
- Each NT4.0/W2K/XP workstation must meet the minimum product requirements as stated in the Installation and Configuration Guide.
- Each student NT4.0/W2K/XP workstation must be networked together and have access to domain administrator rights.
- Fault Tolerance requires a minimum of three NT4.0/W2K/XP workstations
[these three systems can include the student systems] and either Oracle or MSSQL Server be
installed. [See Fault Tolerance Installation Guide for additional requirements.]
- The training room must have the ability to project PowerPoint displays and have either a whiteboard or an easel.
- All NT4.0/W2K/XP systems will be required to perform multiple re-boots during this class.
Location
This course can be scheduled either at the Tidal Software Corporate Headquarters in palo Alto,
California or at your site.
